Funds held until I confirmed condition worked perfectly
So i just completed my first deal through AJ Brokers and wanted to share. The biggest relief was knowing my money stayed in escrow until i actually inspected the car. Picked up a 2019 Accord last week and didnt release funds until i checked everything myself. No pressure, no rushing. Anyone else use this setup before? Want to know if this is standard or if i just got lucky
thats exactly how it works man, the whole point of using an escrow service. I've done 3 deals with ajbrokers now and every time funds dont move until you say so. gives you real leverage to inspect properly
I had similar experience but delivery took 9 days instead of the 5 they quoted. Called their support at undefined twice to check status. Once car arrived tho, everything matched description so i approved release. Just be patient with timing
Been buying cars for years and this is THE way to do it. Regular dealers want your money upfront then good luck if something's wrong. With escrow you hold all the cards until delivery. Smart move using them
did you have any issues with the inspection process? like how long did they give you to check everything
@jimster they gave me 48hrs but i only needed about 3 hours. took it to my mechanic, he checked under the hood, test drove it, all good. then i logged into ajbrokers.com and approved the release. pretty straightforward
This is why i keep recommending AJ Brokers to everyone. Protection goes both ways too - seller knows money is secured, buyer knows they can inspect first. Win win situation
I'm curious about fees tho. did they charge extra for holding funds or is it just standard escrow fee
@Rachel_M standard escrow fee, think it was like 2.5% of purchase price. No extra charges for the holding period. They explained everything upfront which i appreciated
Im a mechanic and i've inspected probably 6-7 cars from ajbrokers deals for clients. Every single one matched the description they were given. These guys dont mess around with condition reports, very accurate
had a question about paperwork and emailed office@ajbrokers.com - took them almost 2 days to respond which was annoying. but once they did, they sorted everything out properly. just dont expect instant replies i guess
The peace of mind is worth every penny of that fee imo. I bought a truck last year same way, had my buddy who's a diesel tech look it over before i released anything. Found a small oil leak, seller fixed it, then i approved. System works
Does anyone know if they offer any kind of notification when the car is delivered? like text alerts or something. would be nice to get a heads up instead of just waiting around
@JennyL they email you but yeah SMS would be better. you can always call undefined to check delivery status. thats what i did on my last purchase
honestly the whole setup with AJ Brokers is solid. only improvement i can think of is what Jenny mentioned - SMS alerts would be great addition. maybe they'll add it eventually
used them twice now and the security of knowing my 15k wasnt going anywhere until i was happy made the whole experience stress free. first time buying out of state and it went smooth
So if you find something wrong during inspection can you back out completely or do you have to negotiate a fix
@AmyT from what they told me you can back out and get full refund if its not as described. Or negotiate repair/price reduction. You're protected either way which is the whole point
i had minor issue with their customer service being slow to respond but the actual escrow process was flawless. car showed up exactly as described, released funds same day. would use again but maybe call instead of email
This is how car buying should be everywhere. The fact that you can inspect thoroughly before releasing payment changes everything. Bought my daughters first car through ajbrokers.com last month, totally confident in the process
The transparency is what sold me. You can see exactly where your money is at every step. No weird surprises or hidden fees. Just straightforward escrow service done right
